Anweisungen:

Simple, no-cook, baby-friendly bread snack (for 4–10 months):

  1. Choose a fresh, very soft slice of bread. Remove the crust completely; only use the soft interior.
  2. Cut or tear the inside into strips 6–8 cm long and about 1–2 cm thick, so the baby can easily hold and chew them. The pieces should be large enough for the baby to tear off the smaller pieces with their own hands.
  3. Seat the baby securely, with an upright back, and always offer the food under supervision. Give them one strip at a time, and let them taste, chew and tear it.
  4. Watch for signs the baby is eating: if the baby shows choking signs (strong coughing, turning blue, difficulty breathing), remove the food immediately and seek help if needed.
  5. Always offer the initial pieces in small amounts and for a short time to see how the baby handles them. Do not add any additional ingredients or spices — the bread is all that’s in the recipe.
Storage

Freshly cut, keep at room temperature for up to 2 hours; if you prepare strips in advance, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator within 1 day. Avoid long storage, as the bread can dry out and pose a choking risk.

Allergies and warnings

Bread is usually made from wheat, so it contains gluten — not suitable for gluten-sensitive or celiac babies. Always check the label for allergens. Only offer the chunked foods when the baby is ready for solid pieces (stable head and trunk control, interest in food).

Short summary

Simple, no-cook, soft bread strips: crust removed, 6–8 cm long, 1–2 cm thick strips. Baby-friendly snack for 4–10 months, always with supervision and offered according to the baby’s readiness.
